groove/thrash/death from Transylvania

Heavy Duty Sibiu is a thrash/death/groove metal band from Sibiu. The band started its activity towards the end of 2007, by the need of its members to socialize and make a lot of noise. It all started as a hobby in a garage, but slowly but surely this hobby turned into a more serious activity, which brought Heavy Duty to the attention of the local underground scene.  

In 2008 things started to get more serious and they started to create their own compositions, ending up with an 9 track self-produced album in the thrash/death metal genre. Although the band's songs seem quite aggressive, many of them incorporate melodic parts that bring an experimental air. Tracks like "Face of Murderer", "Angry Again" and "Hunting Ghosts" are defining for the band's style and bring the new to the front.

In 2023 after almost 11 years of break Heavy Duty Sibiu reunited and began rehearsals for a new series of concerts.

2024 is the year of the Beast for the band. With their self-titled and self-produced album released, touring was the main objective, reactivating the fans and offering lots of energy for the headbanging.

Under the slogan “Keep it tight and metal!”, the band is ready for 2025 to hit some venues abroad!
